Day 7 to Lizumerhütte

Today was an easy day, I took a bus from Hall to Wattens and then into the valley to the army entrance gate Walchen. From there I hiked through the woods and medows in light rain, passed the big army base of the mountain infantry (mentioning on signs to be aware of target practice) and arrived 2.25 hours later at the beautiful “Lizumerhütte” (where the new and young hut keepers Tobi and Lukas offer fantastic food and a great atmosphere).

Highlight of the day

Arriving at this super lovely Lizumerhütte, getting a delicious Cappuccino with milk foam and a tasty poppy-seed cake and then joyfully welcoming all my hiking fellows arriving from their last hut and spending a fun evening in the living room.
