Oh, what a rainy day… Today we left the Central Alps behind us and made our way to the next valley – the “Pustertal”. When crossing over the “Gliderscharte” at 2.644m we were already soaked with rain and it wasn’t much fun climbing over wet rocks. The very old cattle farm “Obere Engerbergalm” below the peak was our salvation to get a hot and strong coffee right from the stove and to dry a little. Shortly after the sun came out, we could take off our rain pants and jacket and made it to the cute village Pfunders, where we are staying at the nice “Gasthaus Brugger” and enjoyed South Tyrolian specialties.
