We left the lovely “Agriturismo Le Noci” pretty late after a delicious breakfast serving everything you wished for. But starting a hike at noon time is no good idea in Italian summertime… It was so hot and my clothes were soaked with sweat after only one hour. Good thing: on those flat paths I could change my heavy hiking boots against my speedy sandals – at least some fresh air for my tired toes. After a long and hot walk along the river Piave we arrived in the little city Ponte della Priula – which was disappointing as it seems to be a industrial region only with no flair at all. But it also was the only location with a hotel (“San Carlo“), so no choice left.
Highlight of the day
In the maddening heat reaching a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere, ordering at once 2 Lemon-Soda with ice and drinking them in 5 seconds!
